About
The Technology Programme is for students who are curious about the solutions of the future and want to combine technology with creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. The programme places a particular focus on education in Artificial Intelligence.
The education provides a strong foundation for further studies in technology and science at university level.
Technology program
The programme provides a broad foundation for further studies at university in Sweden or abroad. It also creates strong opportunities for students interested in starting their own business within the field of technology.
Technology program at Amerikanska Gymnasiet
At the Technology Programme, you will not only study technology and theory — you will also develop creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills through projects, innovation and modern ways of working. The programme is designed for students who want to understand the society of the future and help shape it.
Since 2024, the programme has had a particular focus on education in Artificial Intelligence and includes all upper secondary school courses within AI.
Students also study programming, web development, and computer and network technology in addition to the core courses included in the Technology Programme.

Orientation Information and Media Technology
In this program, you’ll learn to master artificial intelligence, create websites, and develop programming skills at a high school level.
Students in the Technology Program are highly engaged and often take part in competitions. Each year, there are opportunities within areas such as e-sports or contests like “Hack Your World,” where students from Amerikanska Gymnasiet have won the Swedish Championships twice so far.
